Hi, I'm new to this group and am actively seeking info about RE Ord. Survey in Cape Town area during Boer War. My Great Grandfather Sidney Arthur Wright was with this company later transferred to 19th Co?. I have many panoramic pics of Boer family convoys,trains,Modder River, Calvania to Clanwilliam amongst others and would like some info about whate RE did. I have letters from various officers who wrote to my GGrandfather and a letter from Col Haig recommending his promotion from Lance Corporal to Corporal ( what is a 2nd Corporal?).
