"GOOD SOLDIERS"
THIS TABLET IS ERECTED BY THEIR
FELLOW MEMBERS OF THIS CHURCH
AND THEIR COMRADES IN THE
LOCAL RIFLE VOLUNTEERS.
JANUARY 1902.
The coat-of-arms at bottom right is that of Dunbartonshire Volunteers. The inscribed letters at the right and bottom, and the coat-of-arms, are slightly faded, compared to the rest of the plaque, the reason being that that area is adjacent to a doorway and passers-by, over the years, have brushed against the plaque there.
