Hello, can anyone direct me to a site where I can find out more about my great uncle William Stewart who served with these two units? He seems to have died by 1911 by letters in our hands but we can't find where. He joined Rimingtons Guides in November 1899 and was discharged as a Trooper in Capetown on 26 January 1901. He then seems to have joined Damant Horse and the discharge certificate says he was discharged as a Sergeant in December 1901 after having served 247 days. I believe he may have returned home to Scotland at some point, but not having found a death for him there, wondering how to track down a death in Africa possibly. Otherwise anything on his time served in these units would be helpful. I did find his name on the nominal roll 22 April 1901 and at that point he is a sergeant.
