Transport ships - by: djb

I have been preparing some images of transport ships used during the Boer War for the forum. I have noted that the vessels had a number painted on the side of the ship for identification.

Here is number 18, the Cephalonia.



Does anyone have a list of these numbers and the names of the ships to which they referred?
