Also known as The Wirral. The names are inscribed on a low coping stone (similar to that on the far left of the second photo), part of the surround for Birkenhead's cenotaph, which is on the east side of Hamilton Square, and facing the Town Hall. Some of those named also have individual plaques in churches around Wirral.

A couple of other names that show up in a search on the Imperial War Museum's memorials' site: - In St Peter's Church, Heswall, there's a plaque for Private James Ellis, Cheshire Regiment, who died at Kimberley, on 16th August 1901, and memorial screens and plaque at St Barnabas' Church, Bromborough, for Lieutenant R. L. C. Hobson, King's Royal Rifle Corps, k.i.a. 5th June 1900.
