Hi everyone. I'm the historian at the Klerksdorp Museum. For your information, Klerksdorp and its commando was heavily involved in the fighting that took place in the western part of the ZAR and the Northern Cape (i.e. Kimberley). We have a large concentration camp graveyard, a neatly maintained British War Cemetery (accomodating the mortal remains mainly of the Yeomanry soldiers killed at the Battle of Ysterspruit - 24 February 1902 - and a (now sadly not identifiable any more)collection of graves of people who died in the (seperate) African Concentration Camp. If anybody wants photographs or info, or have any of these themselves that they would like to share with our city the Museum would be very glad indeed.
