I came upon a newspaper article which mentioned two ABW deaths from Escot (also sometimes spelt as Escott around that time) - Richards and Berry - but couldn't find anything more than that. Can we identify these two men? Escot is centred around Escot House, and is in Talaton parish.

"The Escott Village Club opened its winter session on Friday evening when the President (Right Hon Sir J H Kennaway, Bart, M P,) entertained the members to supper in the club room...…..Sir John said that he had just been reminded that two men from that place - Richards and Berry - had laid down their lives for their country in South Africa - (applause)."
