Frederick Lewis Scrymgeour-Wedderburn, born at Birkhill, 27th June 1874. Registered in Balmerino, baptized in St. James' Church, Cupar, on 9th August 1874. Went out to Alberta, Canada, in October 1891, and, having returned home in 1895, went out again to Buenos Aires.

"Home from the War. - Mr F. Wedderburn, second son of Mr H. S. Wedderburn of Birkhill, arrived in Cupar yesterday morning. Mr Wedderburn joined the Volunteer Corps raised by Mr Somervill at Buenos Ayres for service in South Africa. On 15th February last he was captured by the Boers at Waterval Drift. Owing to an attack of pneumonia, he was not taken to Pretoria, but was left at Jagersfontein Hospital, where he was relieved by General Clements on 27th March. He was invalided home, and, prior to entraining for Cupar, he spent some time in Netley Hospital."

SCRYMGEOUR-WEDDERBURN. - On May 22, 1936, at Balhousie-by-Leven, Fife, FREDERICK LEWIS SCRYMGEOUR -WEDDERBURN , second son of the late Henry Scrymgeour-Wedderburn, of Wedderburn and Birkhill. Funeral private. No flowers, by request.
