This is a group which the Artillery buffs will appreciate:-
- Queens South Africa Medal with clasps Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal & SA 1901 to 7217 GNR. R WHITE, 1ST NTHLD. VOL. ART
- British War Medal to Sjt. R. WHITE, S.A.R.O.D.S. SEC.1
- Bilingual Victory Medal to SJT. R. WHITE, S.A.R.O.D.S. SEC. 1
- Africa Service Medal to 40678 (ACF) R. WHITE
White saw service with the Elswick Battery and stayed on in South Africa after the war to serve in both WWI and WWII.
If anyone is able to shed any light on White (no pun intended) and his Boer War service it would be much appreciated.
