Hello all,
Joined this site hoping to find out more information regarding my Great Grandad John Clancy.
He joined the Elswick Battery and travelled with them to South Africa as a gunner...service number 7236.
Eventually, I'm hoping to get hold of a replica medal with his clasps and frame it with his picture (below), as a tribute to him.
In the meantime I'll be browsing through this site trying to learn as much as I can about the Elswick Volunteers!
