Hi Folks,
I'm a complete newbie here so I beg your indulgence. Going through some old family photos I stumbled across this one dating from WW1 but I believe the soldier is wearing a Queen's South Africa Medal. The photo was taken in St.Helens, Lancashire, and he's possibly a Lancs Fusilier. Sadly, I don't know who he is.
Are there any resources out there that might help me narrow down the options to help identify him? I'm guessing he's either a relative or perhaps a neighbor. I'd love to identify him although I realize it's a very, VERY long shot.
Any and all suggestions would be most welcome.
Many thanks,
Mark
