I just picked up an as sold pair, QSA/KSA, of course but I am sure that they are not a pair but still......

The Queen's South Africa Medal:

Named: J. Kerr, Cape Government Railways
Clasps: None
Medal Roll - No number on it but Page 47 - Cape Colony Clasp marked Yes but Struck Out...... Found This: WO100/279
Notation: "Working of Trains etc. within the Theater of War and Services which Assisted in the Success of Operations"

The King's South Africa Medal:

Named: 744 Sergeant J. Kerr, Cape Police (Special)
Clasps: South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902
Medal Roll: 68/SA/2017
Period of Service: 22 - October - 1901 to 7 - March - 1902 ( When Killed In Action )

I am very sure that they are not the same man but is it possible as I am thinking that they are Father and Son......
