Further to my post on SJ Hartman - another ABW came my way this time to a chap who wasn't as lucky to escape and who was taken POW at Paardeberg.
I've still to research him but Elmarie Malherbe very kindly sourced a photo for me of him with other POW's at Green Point in Cape Town awaiting transfer to St. Helena.
